Best of the Holidays

My son Gabriel gave me a special gift at Christmas.    A self portrait that he framed.  It is so breath taking and so special to me.  You can see more guitar pictures on Gabe's blog. Also,  a picture of all my kids from Gabe & Jill's trip to NYC to see Britney and Adam.  So love this shot of all of them.       Miss you Britney & Adam, wish you guys where here. We cant wait to come see you in May.

Morgan had fun leaving cookies out for Santa for the very 1st time.   She was so funny coming out of bed half a sleep and going straight to the cookies to see if they where gone.   These moments PRICELESS!
Relaxing and spending time with family is this best part this Holiday Season.

I have to end my post on another special gift.     My dad is one of the most talented people I know.  He grew up drawing from a very young age, and worked in illustration/advertisement for years.    He is retired now and anything he handcrafts is always the best of perfection!    He designed and build these car's and was a special surprise to Frank and Gabe.   Both my older kids have a little of their grandfother, and so thankful for that!

Bye Bye Zart

We had a great time with Zart this year!    It was our first time having a "Elf on the Shelf".   It was also  Zart's first year helping Santa so during the day on Christmas Eve we caught him studying up on the big night.   Before he left for the night he agreed to a portrait.    We plan on framing the 1st picture to put in Morgan's room to remind her of Zart's visit until he returns next Christmas.   We are hoping it will continue to help with the potty training.  It worked wonders while zart was here.

Snow Suprise

We came out of Church service on Christmas Eve day to SNOW coming down!  Having snow this time of year is very rare for us here in Texas, so it made the Holidays very special.    We took Morgan out in the backyard just for a few minutes to check it out.  I guess its a good idea to have some gloves handy for next time!   Next best thing is a pair of socks!   The wind made it hard to stay out there to long.   Morgan was ready to go back in after about 10 minutes.     It was all gone by the afternoon on Christmas day.

Christmas tree

What is the best way to keep a toddler from re-arranging the ornaments on the family Christmas Tree?    Get her a tree of her own.   Here is Morgan decorating her own little Christmas tree.      We are having a lot of fun this year with her being more aware of the Christmas traditions.  She is very excited about Santa coming in the morning.

Holiday Greetings from our house to yours!

It was a very busy Christmas photography season.  Before I knew it, it was time for me to figure out our Christmas card.    Normally we do a family picture.   With Britney in collage in NYC and married now, and Gabe also really busy with his collage schedule here locally, we decided to make this year's card a toddler one.     That seemed to be a good idea until I told Morgan that we were going to take her picture.   Mom had to pull out all the tricks from playing chase to giving her candy.  We got it done!
Hope everyone is blessed with love, peace, and joy this Holiday Season!
