Team up Thursday

Starting this week, I'm teaming up with my friend Melissa each Thursday for a weekly challenge.   I heard about it over at Hip Momma's blog, and have been tuning in each week and it has been inspiring and a great motivator to join the fun.  This week is Self Portrait week.  What better week to jump right in?    My first thought was "Oh boy, that is something I have put off and have never done."   Here we go!  

Melissa's picture on the left (check out her blog), and mine on the right.    I was so excited to have her as my partner,  when she sent me her picture it made me smile.    One because as photographers that sums up us editing picture,  Two she injured her back and still got her picture done.   So impressed!    For me, I took several pictures one day this week and couldn't make a decision on one until today.     I realized,  I dont like picture of myself and Im way to critical of them.      What better way to get over that right?     One thing I do love, when its cold outside is hot coffee and getting to wear my boots!  

Backyard wonderland!

Here what our backyard looked like during our TX snow blizzard.   It was all gone 48hrs later, but we have great picture to remember it by.   

Valentine's in the making

Craft time is one of Morgan's favorite times.  So it was a must for her to get to make her own cards this year.    We made about 30 cards. She picked out the paper and buttons, and we enclosed a Valentine treat inside each one.     If you know Morgan you know she loves giving hugs, and will even insist!    I so love that about her. She certainly has brought so much joy to our lives.   Happy Valentines Day from Morgan to you!   Hope you have a very special day filled with love. 

Snowman fun

It was a beautiful sight!   Waking up to snow, and boy did it fall too.  By the end of the day we broke and all time record in our area.  12.5 inches in 24 hours.   Morgan and I made a snowman 1st thing.  Morgan had no trouble jumping right in the snow.   It was so much fun watching her.    She walked to back of our backyard and said lets build him here.    

 

Meet Max

Snow Day

Living in Texas you don't take the weather forecast too seriously.  They say snow, rain, and it usually means wait an hour and things can change.  So it was a nice surprise this morning when we woke up to snow falling.  By the end of the day we had 7.9 inches and they are saying it's a world record for our area.  It's suppose to freeze tonight and more snow tomorrow.    Here is a picture from first thing this morning before the little one was awake.     More picture to come....
