TJ & Kersten

I'm usually taking pictures of kiddo's most of the time.  But, this last weekend my very good friend Kersten asked me to take her engagment pictures.   I was honored to do so!   We had a lot of fun and knowing Kersten so well made the experince very special.    They truly have a special connection and we are looking forward to the big day on April 17th.      Congratulations TJ and Kersten!

Its starting to look like Fall!

After far too much heat for far too long, I'm ready for Fall. How about you?   It's time to pull out the warm clothes and maybe even do some fall clothes shopping.   The leaves on our trees in the backyard are just now starting to fall and turn colors.   Its starting to look like FALL!  I know Texas leaves dont look exactly like these leaves, but I had fun getting all our Fall decorations out this weekend! I'll bet my sister in North Carolina and my mom in Indiana are already enjoying the fall color.  This is the time of year that I enjoy opening up the windows,  going for walks, having a warm bagel and coffee in the morning, and making the Cawley's favorite dish "Wilderness Stew".

Nephew Roarke

It was great having my sister-in-law Shonnon and nephew Roarke over for a visit this week.    We havent seen them in a while and it was great catching up.  Roarke is just a few weeks older than Morgan, and he's getting cutier and cutier!  Look at those gorgeous brown eyes and curly hair!    So what do two Toddlers do when they get together?    I think the second pictures says it all!   "Learning to share!"   Morgan had a hard time with that today!

Not Forgotten!

Since Morgan was born, there are a few family members that have been left in the shadow - our dogs Sparky, Scout and Sage.    They have done really well with Morgan the last 22 months.  Especially when she started eating table food, they said "hey this isn't SO bad!"    Sparky loves to be near her and even will sleep in her room when she's in bed.   Sage loves to give Morgan kisses and Scout is in her own world!      Morgan feeds Sparky every morning and has to say "Bye Sage" when we leave the house.     She calls all the dogs "Sage"!   We are still working on "dog" and each of their names.

Accomplished yard work!

The weather has been so nice lately that we decided what a perfect time to accomplish some needed yard work.   Frank sometimes works harder on the weekends then during the week I think.   I'm very blessed to have husband that loves projects around the house.   He made us a wonderful flowerbed outside Morgan's playroom.  I planted all the mums and bushes and  now when we are in Morgan's playroom we see a beautiful flowerbed outside instead of dirt!  The bushes will also bloom white flowers in the spring to early summer.   I tried to take a  few pictures of the bed to show.   But Morgan insisted on me taking pictures of her too.    She kept saying "CHEESE"!   Go figure, never when I'm ready and trying to take pictures of her!    I thought the bright colors she was wearing even though unmatched turned out cute.  Besides, what does her shirt say?

Hey Daddy!

I think you did a great job!
