Mini Soccer

Watching toddlers play soccer is one of the cutest and funniest things!  This was Morgan's 1st sporting activity.  She wasn't too sure what was going on.    She stood around wondering why everyone was trying so hard to get a ball in a goal?  She finally gave it a try a couple of times.  Her daddy is a huge sports fan, so he's thinking if we introduce sports to her early, she is going to love it!  Before we left the house though she asked. "Why can't I wear a skirt to soccer?"

Someone moving?

 Gabriel move into his own apartment with several friend roommates a couple of weekends ago.  I knew this day was coming soon.  As a mother though, your never fully prepared.     Your proud and sad at the same time.   So hard to explain and probably very good Im writing this few weeks later.  =)     You realize so many years have flown by so fast, and hear your son is all grown up and on his own.   We are so proud of Gabriel for making the move.    He is certainly ready, and he has an exciting year to come.   He will soon be graduation college in the Spring.    

The guys where not thrilled about pictures during the move.  But, I had to get this one!   We took many trips taking boxes up to the 3rd floor.    Boy, 3rd floor!    Its good they are young!  

1st day of Preschool

Morgan's 1st day of Preschool went really well. She is used to going to school from attending MDO at our church for the last year.    This was her 1st day at a new school, and she seemed uneffected by the change.  I'm sure it helped that she attended some camps this summer and that her good friend Emily from church is also in her class.   Regardless, meeting new friends is something Morgan has never shied away from. She woke up with a smile on her face excited about her 1st day.  On the way home, I asked her what she learned, and she said "circle."    She said, "I learned that cars wheels on the road are circles."  She pointed out all the circles on the way home.  It's going to be a great year of learning!  

Summer Fun

 When the first of August comes here in Texas.  It means HOT!  This time of year I wished we had a pool or community pool near us.  We do live on the lake, but Morgan has no interest in getting anywhere near our jet ski's.      This summer we decide against the usual small blow up pool that always seems to not last.   This time we broke down and got a waterside for her to enjoy.   So glad we did.   It has been a great hit with her and her friends.     It has turned out to be our highlight of our summer.   It has been a  busy summer this year with trips, and Gabriel in school and working.   I think we have only been on the lake couple times this year, which is very unusual for us.    Hopefully the adults will have some lake fun soon before cooler weather comes.

Morgan's favorite thing

Since about January, when Morgan picks up her colors she is pretty intense, making sure she fills in all the blanks and staying inside the lines.     I so enjoy watching her color and even better how proud she is when she's done and insist on giving them as gifts to Daddy or her grandparents.
